Welcome

The Coachella Valley Chapter of the Ninety-Nines was started in 1949 by Jacqueline Cochran.   Jackie a Coachella Valley local  

was the first woman to fly faster than the speed of sound and, at

the time of her death in 1980, she held more speed, altitude,

and distance records than any other male or female pilot in

aviation history. She was instrumental in starting the Woman’s

Air Service Pilots program during World War II.

Currently, our membership is made up of Commercial Airline, Private and Drone Pilots.   We have student pilots that we are mentoring through the process.  We are active in the community with speeches and participating in Aviation events and STEM programs.
